Running No Mans Sky in vr. I was wondering if there is a way to run the game No Mans Sky in vr mode instead of desktop play. I cant find anything about it online. I had to move the install to my OS drive for it to work, seemed like a weird fix but it worked. On my non OS drive, it would just crash immediately when selecting the VR option on I'm thinking of buying the NMS for the upcoming VR support as it it currently on sale on Green Man Gaming. But do we know what the system… The VR controllers (I have an index) do work. I have a G2 and I wouldn't want to use anything else but my controllers, gamepad wouldn't feel the same flying or doing 90% of the things you do. It would probably feel like I have my hands tied together. Last edited by Kobs ; Jun 28, 2021 @ 4:04pm. #6. SteamVR just released a hotfix due to No Man's Sky crashing after latest update using SteamVR Beta. - I believe this is now fixed. If not try the experimental branch under the PIN Thread under General Discussion. DLSS 2.1 just got released for No Man's Sky. Depending on your system you should see a difference on GPU load. Open SteamVR. On the three lines in the upper left, r-click and select Devices > Controller Settings. Select No Man's Sky edit to your hearts content. #17. Gray8 Aug 15, 2019 @ 1:54pm. You should be good, as long as your GPU ram is 8 gb or more, it's not really CPU hungry at least that's what afterburner shows and 16 gigs of ram should be good. #1. I would like to hear what people think. If they make it run on ps4, then it would run on mid class rig? Make sure the Oculus menu is set to long press, since the button is used in the game. In Steam VR disable auto resolution and set it at 100 as the Oculus software is already handling it. If you're getting super potato framerate, like a slideshow, open the Nvidia Control Panel and completely disable G-Sync. EhaJVTD.
