If the Oil in is what was from the factory that is 5w 30 Full Synthetic Long Life VW504 00 not VW 502 00. So top up with VW 504 00 That could be Castrol / Quantum but any oil to VW504 00 will do. The Owners Manual also tells you how much oil it 'May Use' in the first 5,000 km which can be higher than normal.

If the engine management light comes on when you're driving, the handbook will advise that you should stop driving it immediately and get it to an authorised garage who will be able to diagnose the problem. Driving with any warning light on is only going to damage your engine - that's precisely why they are warning lights.

You can use VW 507.00, but it is for variable servicing and cars with DPF's, and is over spec for a 1.9 tdi on fixed servicing. 1) 505.01 is the pd engine oil suitable for Skoda fabia vrs 1.9td. Engine oil with this specification is available or was in 5w30 or 5w40. Q. This has been superseded with 5w30 507.00 low saps which can be used in fabia pd engine? 2) Now the bit I am clueless about. Can I use a 507.00 oil that is 0w 30 when the manufacturer recommends 5w 30 grade?
Posted 1 January, 2020 (edited) VW Group / Skoda recommended is VW 504 / 507, so commonly 5w 30 FS. used for fixed or variable servicing. You can use 0w 30 FS III as long as VW 504 if you want. You can use VW502 so 5w 40 FS for Fixed Servicing if you want. From 2018 on they leave the factory with VW 508 / 509.
353. Posted 28 December, 2018. I was speaking to a mechanic at a local VW/Skoda independent workshop, he pretty much said what UrbanPanzer said and he'd always recommend changing the oil every 10K miles/1 year (especially in diesels) regardless of what the service schedule is.

Find the location of the MAF sensor in your Fabia, unplug the electrical connectors, and remove the sensor from the housing. Spray at least 10 spurts of MAF cleaner onto the sensor and then let it air dry for an hour or until completely dry. Do not use cloth or cotton swabs to clean the sensor, as it can damage it.
